3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a murky opaque burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma is very dirty and earthy, with dulled blueberries. Flavour brings out potent blueberries, with a little wheat, and some earthiness. Quite fruity and well-balanced - tastes better than it smells. Decent beer.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bluish pink color, the room is dark so it’s hard to determine the proper color. Puree based sugar aroma. I don’t taste a lot of fruits. A little flavor of ’fruit’ but nothing specific. Leaves a little puree based after taste. Overall I feel like they tried to put too many fruits and none of the flavors cone through.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Tap & Barrel - Olympic Village. Nice purple colored pour with a short lived white head. Fruity, slightly syrupy aroma. Sort of like blueberry pancakes. A hint of lemon zest and some doughy malts. Flavor is lightly tart and citrusy with a lot of blueberry jam. Some grass, lemon peel, and tart berry. Nice, actually.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught @ Tap & Barrel Coal Harbour. Beautiful purple colour, mix of fruit, some wheaty character, and a balanced, slightly tart fruit finish. Would be a 5 for appearance if it had a nice head.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbor, Vancouver
Dark purple-brown color with creamy head. light fruity aroma, and light yeast. It has smooth mouthfeel, and nice bread backbone, with mild blueberry presence; no fruit acidity and low bitterness.
Brewers, if you strongly feel you need to brew a fruit beer, this is one way to do it in a non offensive way.
Delicate and bready.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tons of carbonation even though chilled. Purple-blue in the glass. Cloudy. Wheat and fruit on the nose with a touch of yeast. Some acid from the fruit. Malt present but little hop flavour. Ok for a hot day with food like soft cheese.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Visual: This is a collaboration beer with Vancouver’s Tap & Barrel bar/lounge; Nice place, their food is decent but on the greasy side. Informative sticker label on a bail-top bottle, I love to reuse these things after cleaning and sanitizing them. Pours cloudy pale maroon with a ridiculous foamy head, lots of lacing, and tons of activity.
Nose: faint crushed sour blueberries with a hint of barnyard. (3)-aromatic strength.
Attack: incoming fruity-sour berries, very creamy mouthfeel
Mid-palate: (6)-sweetness,tangy/sourness, (MAIN) blueberry, lemon, wheat malt (HINT) banana, barley
Finish: fading body, semi-sweet acidic yeasty citrusy-sour finish
Summary: Sometimes one-off beers are gimmicky but this one actually has some substance. A decent balance of real fruitiness, sweet, sour, alcohol, texture and body. (Note: numbers above are on a 10-point weak-strong scale)

1 litre capped pot-stopper. Clouded purple blue, foamy berry tinged head mostly lasts. Wheaty berry fruit aroma. Not too sweet, slightly tart berry wheaty yeasty taste. Lively carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Decent patio refresher. MLF (More Lagerboy Friendly)

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Tap & Barrel in South False Creek. A mauvish color and cloudy. Minimal head. Not bad for a fruit ale (yes I know it says it’s a wheat ale), but personally I’d prefer more beer flavour. Might be a winner mixed with something with a more pronounced beer flavour. Okay.
