(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 21 Nov 2012) Cloudy golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, resin, apricots and fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, peaches, resin and generous amounts of citric/floral hops in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Fresh and nice.

Cock Tavern.Keg. Cloudy gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp and has some body for a 4% beer. Mild creamy malt base. Minerals. The Pacifica hops have a little skunk and a nice lighy complex citrus. Lemon with traces of grapefruit and lime. Touch of tangerine pith. Finishes crisp. Decent and refreshing.

Keg @ The Cock Tavern. The pour’s hazy light gold with a small white head. The nose is apricot, honey, angel food cake, undercooked dough. Hints of citrus and sweet crunchy nut cereal. The taste is light pear syrup, some melon and mango. Mild green apple. Hints of flabby dough flavors. Light body. Overall, decently flavorful, there’s just a doughiness to this beer that holds it back a bit.

Cask handpull, Southampton Arms, Lahndahn, 25/11/12. Cloudy orange with a fleeting slick of head. Smells Belgian with sour limey edge, unmalted barley-like pineapple and citrus, slight pissy fur. Simple, pleasant and...well, summery with a quenching, throwaway, lime zest character. Needs something extra.
