(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 21 Nov 2012) Cloudy golden colour with brief, foamy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, peaches and fresh floral, grassy hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of peaches, citrus, grapefruit and slightly resiny hops in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Refreshing, tasty and quite nice.

4th December 2012 Cock Tavern. Keg. Very cloudy gold beer, residual white head. Not pretty! Palate is crisp and dry. Quite a dominant sweet grain to start, touch of rawness. A little tropical fruits hops but that grain dominates. Semi dry finish. Not right.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - DEC 10, 2012
Keg at the Cock Tavern, London. Pours murky gold with no head - looks pretty awful, to be honest. Thankfully I learned early in life to not judge beers by their covers and, as such, I soldiered. Thankfully, my efforts were rewarded in that this was a decent beer. The aroma is mellow and holds straw and light grapefruit. Light sweet flavor with decent bitterenss, dry citrus and grass, more grapefruit, hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry to finish with faint minerals, dry grapefruit, straw. The appearance of this beer was pretty dire, but if you just close your eyes it’s fine.

Cask conditioned at The Cock Tavern, Hackney, London. Cloudy gold with slight head. Light and yes, summery type beer but with a good dosing of hops, gooseberry skin, almost hairy in character, bitter and dry. Nicely challenging. Good.
