Light copper with frothy, rocky cap. Smells of sour lint with a touch of fruit. Taste is mildly malty straw with the dry finish being the best part of the beer.

Jaune avec une mousse moyenne blanche. Très carboné pour un IPA. Parfum d’houblon et peut-ëtre du pin. Un goût fort d’houblon du début au fin.

This tastes decent, nice and hoppy. Hops has some pine to it. Aroma has some malt as well. Well-balanced bitter finish, pours pretty clear coppy with good head and lacing. Average carbonation, texture slightly creamy. On tap at brewery.

Bottle - Grapefruit, malts and resin on the nose. Clear copper with a decent medium head. Lots of resin, bitter with a sweet and dry finish. None of the pine or grapefruit I would expect. Very average.

Bottle. Hits most of the right notes for an IPA but one really bum one. Whatever hops are being used here have a really medicinal quality that gives the proper amount of bitterness, but not in a good way.

Bottle. Hazy amcer, big offwhite head. Big pine hop aroma. Medium to light body. Dry moppy malt base, clay, somewhat onedimensional hoppyness. Resin aftertaste. Starts aout great, but Iam not a big fan of the finish.

Pours a light copper with mid head. Nose is hoppy with light grapefruit and pine. Pine and some sweetness in the flavour. Ok but not great finish.

All hops, baby! Copper pour with a white head. Nice lacing. Pretty hoppy in the aroma and taste but then it fades on the palate. Interesting balance. I like it. Last bottle from Vic. 072812

On tap. Pours a clear copper color with light persistent head. Aromas of pine and grapefruit with resin like notes. Flavors of spruce and malts. Light bitter finish. OK but nothing special.

I bought this in West Vancouver and I’m drinking it after about 45minutes in the fridge (ie not too cold like we have to endure in North America). I’m drinking it after a Blond Ale so my rathe dodgy tastebuds are not completely overcome before I open this one. The hoynes beers seem to have a great head and this is no different. It’s not aggressively hoppy like the label suggests, rather a nicely hopped beer that I could drink 3 or 4 pints of without feeling unwell. Well done Hoynes. Victoria seems to be a hotbed of craft beers and brew pubs. Well worth a visit?
