COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Shaner D and I doing the live circuit at Beer fest, alternating the spro and stout: “Let’s make a beer with shocking polarity.” “Black on black” I agreed. Tommy D, always the conductor, kept us grounded with his three-pronged wisdom: “Like love, boys, it starts with a spark. When the field is fully charged, flip the switch: Voltage!”

Bottle. Very dark brown pour with a large tan head. Aromas of bitter espresso, dark malts, chocolate, maybe a little nutty. Flavour is espresso with a bit of a hoppy bite. Overall pretty nicely balanced with subdued espresso and the right amount of bitterness, but light bodied and a little watery.

A bit murky medium brown. Aroma is mellow and coffeeish. Taste is sweet up front, with a bit of coffee kicking in late. Finishes sweet. Ok coffee stout, balanced and mellow.

Lagerboy (1255) - British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2014
Bomber. Deep dark hueless brown, big tan foam settles quick and spots out. Aroma is mostly coffee, roasted malt and some chocolate. Darker roast, sweet milky chocolate, not too bitter bean taste. Higher carbonation, thin medium body, low hopped. Lighter and livelier, nice enough easy desert quaff. Finishes short and sweet. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

A great coffee stout, higher amounts of carbonation and lighter drinking than it looks. A fun stout, not offensive in any way with a nice quick bitter espresso finish.

Black color, with creamy, persistent, brownish head. Aroma of roasted malt and cardboard; whiff of coffee. Dry and smooth mouthfeel; some roasted malt and coffee flavor, with light milk impression; correct bitterness.
Nice Stout.

Pours an opaque black with a tiny beige head. Aroma: Burnt nuts, vanilla, hints of coffee. Palate: Thick bodied, very astringent, watery finish. Blech. Taste: Like drinking coffee that’s been on the burner too long, after someone has poured a little bit of vanilla extract into it, and followed it with a bunch of scorched walnuts.

Bottle, thanks Capflu! Pours black with a tan head.Nice coffee aroma. Taste is coffee, roasted malt, burnt wood. Light bodied, a bit thin, but a tasty beer. Low bitterness, abrupt finish.

Pours an opaque black with big initial tan head quickly amounting into a small sticky ring around the glass that leaves great legs. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Flavour is coffee, some roasted malt, light sweetness and a dry finish. I would have to agree in part with wheat king about the balance and some hop presence would be nice. Coffee really dominates this one.

Pours a dark black with a fluffy brown head that dissipates into a brown ring after a bit. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Taste is coffee, roasted malts with some chocolate like sweetness and that’s about it on this one. Worth trying if you like the coffee stout variety.

This is one of my favorite stouts. Lots of coffee, lots of malt. Pours like a dirty Guinness, coffee foam and pitch black, This is a well balanced beer and one of the best coffee stouts I have had
