28th April 2012 Opaque black beer. Big fluffy pale tan head. Light palate with medium carbonation. Semi dry. Loads of minerals. Malt is fairly rich with a little roast, tangy too. Little coffee. Semi dry finish. What rum? Was it bottled next to a rum barrel? Strewth!
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 lassem (650) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 17, 2013
Present from friend. Dark brown beer with a huge potent thick head that slowly fades with a fizzy attitude. A clearly roasted aroma with a dull or mild fruity touch. Some laqurice and coffee with a tiny lactic twist. Quite nice. The mouthfeel is pretty lively with a rather thin texture. Must admit I expected this to be a bit more thick and heavy. The roasted Coffee notes are dominating but you still get some fruityness from the plums and a mild sweetness like dark and bitter chocolate. The finish is long and very bitter. Good and refreshing with an aggressiv carbonation.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jesperhammer (2203) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 30, 2012
30-NOV-2012, bottle @home, from Magasin.
Dark, dark brown withhuge, lively, lacing lasting head.
Roasted aroma with fruit. Taste is roasted and quite hard roasted, almost burnt. Also fruity notes mixed with quite some alcohol, much like rum was added - which it is not according to the ingredient list. Cocoa and vanilla. A slight fruity tartness that together with a lively carbonation makes it almost fresh. Medium body, roasted finish. Fine.
