Pivo Votrok se vrací a je jako jako kdysi, aspoň tak tvrdí lidé co Votroka svého času vařili. Tradiční technologie vaření, nejlepší suroviny a zrání v ležáckých sklepích dává pivu Votrok jedinečně příjemnou hořkost a dokonale kompaktní pěnu. Královéhradečtí mají opět své pivo. Hradecký Votrok - jedenáctka, která vítězí.

Note: Brand ressurrected in late 2009, different from old Kralovsky Lev Votrok.

(Bottle) Pours in clear pale body with medium white short-lasting head. Aroma is malty upfront with hints of light noble, earthy hops. Taste is light honey sweetness with long lasting earthy, grassy bitterness. Balanced towards the sweet end. Little bit fruity for a lager. Body is light to medium with high carbonation.

Hodně hořkej pivák, je potřeba si na něj zvyknout. Jako hradečákovi mi maličko vadi, že se dělá v Havlbrodě.

0.5l bottle courtesy of ogivlado who brought it from Czech Republic and shared with me (thanks!)
Poured a full golden body with a big thick white head. Quite nice really. Mild nose, some vegetables, something random that’s sweet and oily. The taste is a bit of an disappointment then. Oily and bitterish, carrying some dry woody malt. Different, sure, but boring and nearing crap. It’s nice that it manages to be dominated by hops, bitterish herbal hops, but what DO they dominate? A battelfield where various random flavours clash. Yay! Cute label though.
