sm89walt (1748) - Northern Beaches, Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 1, 2013
600-ish ml bottle at a random Chinese restaurant in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Poured a clear golden straw colour with an initially two-finger, though slowly facing, frothy white head. A pretty standard South American lager offering with notes of corn, grain, lemon and a gentle hop presence in the finish. It’s clean and drinkable enough, light-bodied with medium carbonation but wholly unexciting in general.

Same label as Tropicals but different tradition. A little more bitter and more even like a pilsener and good with local food.

Bottle from JSA. Pale gold with a frothy head. Aroma is malt and paper. Flavour is sugary sweet malt. Finish is dry sweet with a hint of solvent.

29/09/2011 33cl bottle @ La Paz - BB 19/2/12 (2011-461)

Clear pale yellow beer, frothy white head, adhesive, lively carbonation in the glass. Aroma: citrus, hops, touch of grains. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: citric hoppy start, bitter, malts, little sweet. Aftertaste: nice bitter hops, little sour.

jgb9348 (4652) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 17, 2009
Crystal clear golden coloured body with hardly any head at all. Aroma of pale malt and cardboard. Light-bodied; Strong tastes of malt and sugars with very little else. Aftertaste has a funky malt flavour and a strong bitter malt taste. Overall, not a good choice among Bolivian beers, but definitely worth trying if you can get it. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased in La Paz, Bolivia.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2009 On my 1st visit to Bolivia, I had this after a dinner and a lot of drinks, so I found it really refreshing and nice. On my 2nd visit I asked for one, and I realized it was refreshing because it was really really light and watery. It was hard to find malt and hops. An average, but not bad, commercial lager.

TheGrandMaster (2334) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 30, 2007
Bottle, a clear gold with a frothy white head. A sweetish hop aroma with some fruit. A light and clean palate, but a little too sweet to taste for me. A good bitter hop finish.

in bottle. Has a pale yellow color. An abundant, white foam and a very good cord. The aroma hoppy is very slight. In the palate it is strong, you feel the flavor. The sweet and bitter are present in a good equation. Probably have an finish rather tart. The body also is weak, which makes it rather liquid. In general it is good. ( the hops that remain in the palate).

This is from a bottle I brought back from La Paz a while ago and it’s settling out. Thils rating is a consensus of Paul, John, and myself. Very Pale yellow. Slightly bitter, not bad. corn. Nothing foul. dull. could do worse, I suppose.

Bottle, Yellowish colour. some malty and grainy aroma. An average tasting pilsnener style, malty and hoppy with an average starnge roast to it. Short aftertaste.
