Our oatmeal stout is so named for the 10% oat content of the grist. As you taste this beer you will find coffee and dark chocolate as the dominating flavors with a slightly sweet finish.

From bottle, blind #25. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Roasted malt aroma, vague smoked touch and chocolate/coffee touch with a nice hoppy touch. Coffee herbal flavoured with a dry hoppy base. Medium malt base with a distinct roasted note. Ashtray like hoppy dry finish with a distinct roasted malt base. Increasing dry into the far finish.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, roasted malt, hops, grass, and spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes fo roasted malt and medium notes of sweet malt and a light notes of burnt wood, leading to an extremely dry, bitter, and coffee finish. Too much for me. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle #25 at Papsø’s blindtasting. Dark brown coloured with a huge beige head. Roasted aroma dominated by liquorice with notes of chocolate and coffee. Roasted flavour of liquorice and coffee with notes of hops and grape fruits with notes of ash tray. Dry roasted and hoppy finish.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of pepsican. Pours black and opaque with a dense and creamy light brown head leaving a neat lacework. Hard roasted malt aroma with some coffee touches. Medium body, hard roasted malt and ashes with an extremely dry malt bitter finish. Nice though. 290509

Black color; nice head, creamy. Strong aroma of roasted malt, coffee and cardboard. The mouthfeel is thin, with an extremely aggressive flavor of burnt malt, from the flavor to the palate; by any means difficult to drink. Monodirectional, extreme, bad.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of coffee,roasted malt, bakers cocoa and light earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt and bakers cocoa wioth a smooth lingering roasty finish.
