Bottled. A deep red-brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, roasted malt, and fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle thanks to jkwalking05. Best of the Hub City beers that I have tried so far. Pours with a fading head over a brown body. Aroma of chocolate, mint and cardboard. Taste is cardboard, urine and cocoa powder. Thin, and quite possibly infected.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2008 bottle from pepsican...this is the best of the hub city’s that I had...i really liked this. dark brown pour with fluffy tan head. aromas that hit right off the bat are coffee, chocolate, molasses, cane syrup and some chewy beef jerky. Flavor is a hair sweet with coffee, chcoalte and some good roastiness.

Bottled. Poured deep brown with some yeasties floating around in there and a short-lived cap of beige head. The aroma was on the weak side with near-burnt black patent malts leading the way.. lesser chocolate, light oats, and molasses in there as well. The flavor picked up coffee that I missed on the nose along with sweeter chocolates and light molasses.. finished with dry, grainy bitterness. Medium-bodied with way too much fluffy carbonation that impeded the flow.. some niice character in here, but really a decent brew at best.
