1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 fidelis83 (1589) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - AUG 12, 2009Pours darkish peachy gold with a thin white head that has poor retention. Aroma is caramel, grass, thistle, green tomato, butter and planty notes, there was also a hint of citrus right at first sniff that I couldn’t detect after that. Flavor is toasty malt, bitter dandelion greens, vegetal notes, feverfew tea, some other herbal tea that I can’t think of, sweet malt, some hop bitterness and more dandelion to finish. Palate is thin to medium bodied with medium carbonation, slightly slick entry and dry finish. This is the strangest Pale Ale I have ever had, not in a good way. Too bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lemke10 (540) - Janesville, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a cloudy light brown color with a slight head that leaves some carbonation and lacing on top. Most noticeable is the scent of hops but also some malts among the mix. The taste is slightly hoppy but with a rather thin texture that drinks rather fast. A nice hoppy after taste lingers around. Not too bad, but could definitely use a little work on it’s texture.

Mild citrus and a hard to describe flavor element. Not great, if without the odd/chemical flavor and more flavor this would’ve rated higher.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tmoreau (1625) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2011
Shared 12 oz. bottle at a recent geek tasting. Poured to a sampler with a clear, orange amber color, appropriate amount of off white head foam, and lasting spots & streaks of lacing. The aroma was light grain, floral, citrus, and a touch of resiny pine. The flavor added some moderate hop bitterness to this light to medium bodied, standard Pale Ale, that showed some fair, aspiring IPA qualities.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 esjaygee (3209) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 20, 2011
Amber with a very large rocky beige head that wastes away after about three outs of baseball. Aroma is very grainy with citrus and bready malt. Thin body has some citrus, pale malt, grapefruit and a mild bitter finish.

Was looking forward to this one, but was disappointed. Had to choke this one down.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 cbfobes (1671) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - APR 27, 2011
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a hazy amber with a decent white head and some spotty lacing, flavor had a hint of hops with sweet malt, the flavor was kind of off putting, there is some hop notes somewhere in there but mostly metal, not all that impressive.

just blah. Second beer from hub city and second failure. Taste was the only interesting thing. Definite complex bitterness going on yet it was not enough to make enjoyable. There was an undertone of plastic. I read another review and It was mentions to compare to wine in aroma and taste. I completely agree. The taste has this acidity and flavor of sweet fruits. Interesting but lifeless. No carbonation. The body was too creamy.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 erickomosa (68) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 4, 2011
White wine aroma. Am I alone here? The second not-too-good pale ale in two nights is giving me a white wine and nail polish remover/hairspray aroma. That and bread, malt. Taste is bread, malt, alcohol, and a lemon citrus or acetic acid hit on the sides of my tongue. Not great, nor quite good.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 islay (740) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2010
12 oz. bottle, split with my dad, consumed on 10-23-10. Biscuity, dry aroma. Relatively light and simple but pleasant smell. Pours a hazy amber to light, glowing copper with a moderate to large amount of suspended particulate and a small amount of beige head. Good appearance. Malty taste for a pale ale. Dark fruit and caramel flavors. Dry finish. Light to medium body. Moderate liveliness. Pretty good overall; I was pleasantly surprised.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 topherh (1857) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - OCT 6, 2010
Pours a light amber with an off white head. Aroma is light citrusy hop and grainy malt. Flavor is grassy hops, caramel, just seems slightly off.
