COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Huber Bock has traditionally provided a creamy texture and rich flavor to beer lovers all over Wisconsin. It has a fine, malty body like the bocks of southern Germany, but is drier than the typical bocks of Bavaria. Huber Bock is made with Brewer's Two-Row Malt, Carapils Malt, Black Malt and domestic hops.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium brown, with a red tint, and a small sized off white head. Aromas on the soft side and included caramel, toffee, roast and bready. Tastes of caramel, some dark fruits, and roast. Body was thin. For me, this one was just all around too thin and weak.

Bottle. Poured dark brown with an average rocky light brown head. Average aroma with roasted malt and hop tone. Medium creamy body. Flavor was well balnced with a moderate sweet finish. Above average for style

Draft at Baumgartner’s in Monroe. Dark clear rusty red color. Tangy scotch ale smells and flavors along with some plastic malts and cheap adjunct goodness. Twangy, tangy, simple and lightly rough on the tongue from the malt (husky). Simple, wet, common stuff here.

Draft at brewery. Clear deep burgundy pour with a solid creamy off-white head. Very nice lacing. Aroma picked up some roasty malts and light caramel, but was rather weak. Flavor had a nice caramel base, some coffee bitterness, and light smoke... quite nice. Palate, however, was watery and somewhat cola-like. Short mildly bitter finish. Definitely palatable, and the finest of Huber’s offerings.

A very dark bock with a deep reddish tint, this sadly loses its head almost immediately. The aroma is roasted malt with a touch of milk chocolate and a whiff of smoke. It’s got a nice malty, chewy body, but unfortunately finishes on a light metallic note. What that supposed to be the hops?

Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (burnt grain, strong coffee). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, lightly acidic. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Surprisingly not terrible...the aroma needs work, but the flavor balance is quite good.

Brown color with a moderate light tan head and a touch of lace. Aromas of dark chocolate and lightly roasted grains. Fairly light feel. Sweetness early and late in the quaff, and actually gets sweeter as it warms. Middle has a light roasted grain and nut dryness and flavor. A decent brew, perhaps somewhat of a starter bock.

Bottle and served in standard pint glass: pour a nice reddish brown hue topped by a small but lasting frothy beige head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and toffee malting, rye bread, some apple and plum, and a non-aromatic tobacco ester. The taste is bready, nutty and a touch sweet at first with some fruity undertones. What is shocking is how sharp the finish is, dry and even a bit acidic. With the spritzy carbonation, it is refreshing even if not what you would except from a Bock bier, Quaffable stuff.
