A fresh, crystal clear and sparkly weissbier. Excellent taste. A real taste from the Hofbrauhaus of Freising; the cathedral town with a huge brewing tradition.

Pours in cristal clear. Malty aroma with some citrusy taste. Just an ordinary kristallweizen.

Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with low head. Nose is low. Aroma is weizen like, bit astringent, some sourish notes, body is low, classic, nothing special in this one.

Pours clear yellow with striking white head. Aroma is very bready and skunky. Flavour is not exactly pleasing. I’ve yet to find a good weizen where the kristall is better.

Bottle: Clear, pale-golden, medium-sized, slowly collapsing white head; sourish-wheaty and bready nose with a distinctive lemony touch; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour, light bodied; shorter sourish-lemony finish with a delicate touch of wheat. Not that bad......

Bottle 500ml.
Clear medium yellow color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, light banana. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20091114]

Bottled. A golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of bread and yeast as well as lighter notes of peaches and bread. The flavor is very sweet with notes of malt and peaches, leading to a dry yeasty finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 5.4%. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is slightly sweet, has some maltiness, but not much banana. Not much citrus either. A little citric in the finish, though.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and dense like beaten egg-white foamy head. Sourish wheaty aroma with notes of citrus, shy herbal notes and moderate phenolic spices of cloves and nutmeg. Slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Good wheat accentuation with a refreshing tartness and moderately spicy and herbal notes. Sourish and slightly tart, also minimal bitter finish with citrus-fruity notes. One of the better chrystal wheats. 21.IX.09
