500ml bottle. Aroma is yeast and sweet fruits. Appearance is cloud orange with a hughe white head. Has a light sour, then light bitter and in the end a light sweet taste. Feels somehow metalic and not so nice in the mouth. Overall not my favorite Weizen.

Third beer of my German tasting evening, 2nd July 2010. This brown half litre bottle was poured into one of my ’Franziskaner’ Weissbier glasses (the beer was best before 3rd Nov 2010). This is one of the best Hefeweizen I’ve had, very impressed: The beer had a great cloudy body, leaning towards the orange side of dirty yellow, the cracking white head was a stayer, lasting to the last drop of beer. The nose was all you’d expect, great waves of vanilla with banana esters following up behind, lovely. Nutmeg appeared in the mix too. Refreshing and very drinkable, the usual hefeweizen flavours combining to produce a very good beer and one I’ll look out for in future.

From a really small brewery in North Munich, one of the best Hefeweizen I’ve ever tried, really hard to find, but definitely worth the work...

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Schaut im Glas exzellent aus. Riecht genau so, wie ein Weizen riechen muss... Schmeckt vollmundig und schön hefig. Im Nachgeschmack kommt das Fruchtige un Bananige sehr gut hervor.

Bottle by 05.02.12. Big wheaten nose with low citrus and a high mineral/yeast content. Hazy yellow body with a jiggling creamy white head. Creamy but still crisp full body, main notes are vanilla and wheat, relatively dry and on the estery side.

Bottled 50cl. German Hefeweizen Nr. 100. Tall head. Inviting spicy yeasty nose. Strong carbonation. Banana throughout. Nice yeast profile. Minty finish. Thanks a lot jonas!

50 cl bottle, rated on 21.09.2009
Murky and orange, head that looks like plastic. Aroma is typical to weisse with banana, wheat and hints of yeast. Flavour is also rather typical with fresh banana, wheat and flour. The aftertaste lingers for a long time. Very typical hefe.

Slightly (not fully) cloudy golden coloured body with a frothy off-white head that leaves a nice lace on top - a bit kristall and mostly unfiltered. Aroma of bananas, bread, yeast, wheat, a touch of spice and a very nice fresh smell. Medium-bodied; Assertive yeast and breadie flavour at first with a good wheat taste, some fresh spices and a light banana and coriander seed note near the end. Aftertaste shows a little yeast, some alcohol and a very refreshing finish. Overall, a nice german hef - good characteristics, but not overwhelmingly great. I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased from Ambrosetti in Berlin, Germany on 30-December-2010 sampled at home in Washington on one of the (hopefully) last hot days of the year on 25-September-2011.

Bottle from the Pond. Pours cloudy straw coloured. Tastes delicious. Banana notes. Good Hefe. I like.
