Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. Poured a light amber color with a light initial head. A below average lager.

Pourer out of a bottle with a good amber hue, with a slight head. The color is the best thing about this beer period. This has a bitter beer taste, with a watery finish, not a good combination.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 AndyW68 (394) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Dark honey and amber pour with short lived off white head. Aroma is sweet and caramel. Taste is sweet, caramel a little maltu and a little grainy.

Beer pours well with honey/amber tint, medium head. Taste is slightly bitter, and lingers around. Had first one at Reds game with a hot met, surprisingly good beer to compliment spicy food.

I normally don’t give pale lager looking things a 4 for looks but this pours beautifully into a frosted glass, looks yummy, big three inch head. Hudephole, rymes with beuatiful? Well any hudy will tell you the first taste is quite full of co2 and is bitter, but not as rude as most of melanie’s beers. Enjoyable, looks good and refreshing to an extent. Would never know this quality would be brewed at city.

12oz bottle at The Pilot in Cincinnati, OH. Pours a clear amber colored body with a thin, frothy, beige head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is grainy caramels with a light sweetness, some crackers, a touch of toast, and a hint of hop spice. Flavor is similar. Lightly sweetened caramel malts with some crackers, grains, and a touch of toast. Finishes clean and very lightly bitter with a touch of hop spiciness. Shorter aftertaste following a light body and a moderate, crisp carbonation. Overall, not a bad amber lager, but pretty forgettable. Fairly crisp and easy drinking with nothing offensive. Eh...

Bottle to pint. Looks fine; like a light amber lager. Smells a little malty. Tastes decent; light-bodied with a little sweet malt flavor. Mouthfeel is average. Definitely the best of the Hudy series.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bghedtodd (27) - USA - APR 27, 2012
Simple, slightly sweet lager. Better than most beers found at gas stations. Great beer for non-beer drinkers at good price. Drink cold.
