COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hudepohl Oktoberfest Bier made from only pure quality ingredients, including generous amounts of Munich, Pilsner, Caramel and Victory malts, Hallertau hops, yeast and water. As with all beers in the Hudepohl line, there are no fillers or adjuncts added to the beer. Adorned with imagery from the flag of Bavaria and the city of Munich, the blue, white and orange packaging pays homage to the Oktoberfest originations of the Munich festival.

Almost clear, orange-red-amber with a thin tan head. Scent is caramel malt, bread, toast. Taste is malt, spiced caramel, bread. Lightly spiced, lightly roasted. This brewery delivers some pretty decent stuff....especially at this price level.

From a twist off bottle, been sitting in my garage for about a month. Yes, typical lighter octoberfest beer, fairly enjoyable. Not too bad overall. Does have some of that annoying octofest bitterness in there but it never goes over the top.

12oz bottle - pours light brown with thin tan head and decent lacing. Nose is toasty. Flavor adds a nutty maltiness and light roast. Balanced between sweet and bitter but not pronounced. Lacks the cheesiness of Hudepohl. Decent.

12 oz. bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized, but rapidly disappearing white head. The aroma is toasted malts, mildly sweet, caramel, with a tiny splash of chemicals. The flavor is pretty standard for an oktoberfest; toasted malts, caramel, light grainy with mild bitterness. This was not very exciting, although I didn’t expect much.

Bottle from b3shine. Poured clear copper color with a minimal fizzy off-white head that was mostly diminished with little lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Light to medium body with with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. My expectations where not met.

Sample from a 12oz bottle. Clear amber color, little off-white head, some dots of lace. Toasty malt nose. Lighter carbonation. Good sweet taste. Lighter body. Solid oktoberfest.

Bottle to pint. Looks solid; a transparent reddish-brown with beige head that quickly dissipates into thin lacing. Smells semi-sweet, malty, and a little doughy. Tastes Like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Better than I expected, and a decent example of the style.

Purchased from the Glenway Crossing Remke/Biggs in Cincinnati, Ohio - Although I tasted the original Hudepohl Bock years ago (before Greg Hardmann took over and Boston Brewing tried to kill all of the Cincinnati local beers), this one is a bit different (not as heavy bodied and bitter). Okay, it pours out an orange hued brew into my lager glass (captured from Cincy Beerfest) with a roasted barley aroma and a tall, finely bubbled head of fast fading foam. Tastewise, it has a roasted grain flavor that is somewhat slight to my taste, but it is still a fine beer for an American Oktoberfest!
