crazyvin (1058), New York, USA Oct 8, 2003 A decent okctoberfest. Malty and sweet. Hsd a nice orangy/amber color too it with a nice white head. not overly hoppy just enough to balance out the sweetness. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Jul 4, 2003 I think my bottle may have been a touch old. Still drinkable and definitely tasty. Pours a hazy orange, with a huge fluffy head. Aroma is malty and...what a surprise....octoberfest-esque. Smells kind of ale like to me, rather than lager. Sweet and malty, with a touch of fruitiness (if you try hard for it). Not much bitterness. Sweet, tapering to a clean dry finish. Moderate carbonation, clean flavors. Pretty good. I really like the label. VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA Oct 30, 2002 Clear coppery orange. Small, compact off white foam. Light carbonation. Mild toasted malt aroma, husky grains and a dab of sweetness. Lightly crisp, clean and smooth. Fair amount of Munich toastiness and nutty dryness. Barely a hint of malt sweetness. Medium light body. Average hop bitterness and flavor. Has that River Horse yeast twang to it. Finishes drier and weakly malty with a dry nut and metal aftertaste. Kind of a snooze. Hey!
