My Bottom Line:
Light diacetyl emboldens this Dunkel’s raisiny malts, as earthy hops and maple toffee continue developing the sugary profile.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam covers the cloudy brown.
-Drinkability is relatively high despite the sugar content.
-This is not a dialed-in Dunkel at all.
-Minerality is quite high, as it seems to be in most Pottenstein-area brews.

On tap at the brewpub.

It’s rather hazy, dark mahogany-red with a small, creamy head, and the aroma has notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, light cocoa and straw. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, straw, cocoa and licorice, and the finish is dry and slightly bitter – it’s a delicious dunkel.

Bottled. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, metal, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry metallic finish.
