Huisbrouwerij t Pakhuis Feestbier

On tap at ’t Pakhuis. Diacetyl bangs out of your glass. Butter, butter and butter and yes, also a touch of smoke. Rancid butter and cheap lemon sweets flavor. Distant earthy hops. Soft bitter aftertaste. Slightly alcoholic. After you have survived the butter mountain this beer is OK.

On tap at ’t Pakhuis. Butter aroma. Clear, copper coloured with an off-white, thin head. Taste is sweet malty-butter, then more whiskey smoked. More bitter towards the end. Dry finish. Medium bodied. Pitty of the massive butter in it, otherwise it could have been a nice brew.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma start with lots of butter but there’s also smoke and a hint of citrus. Golden amber color, off-white head, very nice lace. Sweet, light smoked, hint of wood, hint of caramel, hint of smoke. Sticky start but dry finish.
