On tap at Hukvaldske pivovar (07/03/13). Clear amber pour with traditional thick white head. Light grainy aroma, some toast notes, some off leathery aromas as well, really spicy flavor, a bit off in general. Drinkable, but I wouldn’t put back two of these...

My Bottom Line:
Toasted malts and spicy hops merge in this svelte, soft lager.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A whipped cream-like head of foam decorates the dark copper mist.
-This doesn’t taste like the brewer was aiming for any specific style or colour. It’s just a nice ‘stronger’ brew than his regular 12-degree that happens to be a bit darker.
-The day we visited, this brew appeared to be fresher than the 12-degree.
-Dusty nudges are felt in the finish.

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at festival minipivovaru 2012 at Prague castle. Clear mahogany with a steady head; aroma of golden syrup and rusty gutter; sweet and syrupy twitch barely any bitterness

(PET Bottle 1,5l) Sweet, strong honey aroma. Amber-red color. Minimal white head. Very sweet, light fruity sourness. Bitter, light sour finish.

The glass placed in front of me was filled with a beautiful dark brown beer topped by a tight knit white head that basically stopped any aromas getting through, although as the head lessened there was a distinct toffee touch to the nose. Drinking this stuff was pure nectar, like sticky toffee pudding in a glass, smooth, sweet and with a fragrant bitterness which offset the sweetness perfectly.

Bottled. Hazy amber, lively ehad. Minerally dusty nose with some medicin. ryish and fruity with medium body and fairly low bitterness. Dust and medicin takes over. Not a favourite.
