Everything I don't like about double iPas is wrapped up in this one plus an off smell ( like old people's homes) ...there is an underlining citrus /lemon smell... But the flavors are muted and this beer is not a bright lively beer... An example of a bright lively double ipa would be STONES ENJOY BY ... But this based on this bottle is not worth a repeat:( ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber - pours a unique amber orange clear color. Vibrant aromas of pine, malt, citrus, tea, and a touch of tart. A mouthful gives flavors of grapefruit, spruce, lime zest, pine sap and caramel malts. Long hop finish. Crisp and clean

Location: 22 oz bottle from Melville Superstar Beverage, 11/30/14

Aroma: The nose is sweet caramel malts with some citrus and a little bit of pine as well
Appearance: It pours a clear darker orange color with a clean off-white head and plenty of sticky lacing
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, with a medium hop bitterness that leads to later, more bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, it has a little stickiness, a bit of heat, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This one wasn’t a favorite for me in the style or overall. It just feels a little flawed and lacking overall. It isn’t a terrible beer, but in a crowded style like this, it just isn’t as good as it’s competition.

What is that on the label, a redwood? This beer is big but not *that* big. Lots of caramel malt and pine resin, which leaves it rather one-dimensional.

Bomber from Wegman’s Collegeville. Pourshazy orange with a gusher upon opening and minimal head. Nose is resiny hops, juicy, caramel malt, black pepper. Tastes of caramel malt, tangerine, mango, black peper, with a dense and a bit of a cloying flavor. Finishes more bitter as it warms.

Medium sized off white head and fair amount of retention, plenty of lace and a hazy auburn/amber color. Mild nose of malts, caramel, some iced tea notes, slight hops. Body is a bit thin at first. Fuller as the best warmed up a bit. Became full, little chewy, little oily and sweet on the palate. Sweet malts, tame hops, slight pine and resin, DIPA? More of an ASA in my opinion. Sweet finish with no balancing bitterness. Oh, wait! Nice effort.

Nice apricot aroma. A good blend of classic malt ale and slightly sweet citrus. Not piney or particularly bitter, although the ending has some grapefruit coming through. Very good at cloaking the 8.5%. Pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Off Alex's discount rack at Pinocchios in Media PA. Dared 9/27/13 but still pretty good. Has a malty sweet aroma typical of many DIPA's. The hops show up in the taste. Citrus and pine come thru over the malt base. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
