2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Everything I don't like about double iPas is wrapped up in this one plus an off smell ( like old people's homes) ...there is an underlining citrus /lemon smell... But the flavors are muted and this beer is not a bright lively beer... An example of a bright lively double ipa would be STONES ENJOY BY ... But this based on this bottle is not worth a repeat:(

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottled dated 9/27/13..so not the freshest of offerings..pours a copper penny like color..slight head..small medium carbonation rising to surface..nose is faint perfumy hops..sweet honey and dried apricots..interesting but not memorable..mouthfeel is medium bodied..with a bit of warmth..has a lingering flat citrus tinge to it..some honey..pretty good lacing..taste profile just isnít that complex and seems to be mostly centered on the perfume hops..first offering from this outfit..glad to be able to pick up in philly..but overall a bit disappointing..

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
It poured a golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of grass, dank hops, light citrus, pine, grapefruit and some resin. The taste was of mildly sweet caramel malts, herbs, grassy citrus and hoppy. It was medium bodied and fruity with medium carbonation. Very nice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, moderate grapefruit and orange for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with notes of dried cherry and honey. Head is small to average in size, frothy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is sparkling clear copper. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic, and an extra long bitterness. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation. Damn! perfect citrus-y hops and great balance overall in this classic California DIPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bold, chewy brew. Hops are really earthy, green, grassy, leafy, citrusy and damp. Malts are wholesome, doughy, and cakey. Texture is fluffy, full and a bit sticky. Itís not dry, but itís not cloying. Itís a bit too malt-forward for a double IPA, but itís a solid brew.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle at RBWG, Le Grande Tastinge. Pours a clear orange color with a small white ring for a head. Notes of leafy and grassy hops, sweet malts, mixed fruits, caramel, and sugars. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. I know the Firestone Walker name isnít part of the branding, but itís definitely sub-par for the brewery.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours brilliant copper with a yellowish beige head. Aroma seems resin and roasty malt. Full bodied or nearly. It has a slight treacle start, which is rather overwhelmed with a lot of resin, floral, and maybe citrus. Itís a hoppy bomber. Tho itís almost like it has birch syrup. Finishes very hoppy, nicely (tho not NW) bitter, with an ongoing sweet aspect for balance. It is extremely delicious. Not a trace of heat.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden and very light amber coloured body with a rich, thick, five centimetre tall tan head - very nice. Aroma of resin, alcohol, pine, syrup, pineapple, passionfruit and a lot of grass -nice and pungent throughout. Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour at first with a lot of grass and pine at first then a bunch of syrupy and resinous flavours tucked in with a hint of oak and dry herbs. Aftertaste shows well with a moderate level of complexity all focused around the hops and light sugars. Overall, a nice beer, a good Imperial IPA, but nothing truly special. Good all the way around! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 11-November-2013 for US$9.35 sampled at home in Washington a few minutes after returning from Italy and in need of a írealí american beer.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours clear copper with a huge beige head and a citrus aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with lots of hop bitterness and a very dry finish.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
From notes. Bomber bottle. Orange, pine aroma, bitter, yadda yadda. An undistinguished IIPA in a very crowded space.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Crisp gold with a white head. Heavy grapefruit, resiny, pine, tropical fruits, and fresh. Great palate, sticky hops, grapefruit, and citrus.
