Everything I don't like about double iPas is wrapped up in this one plus an off smell ( like old people's homes) ...there is an underlining citrus /lemon smell... But the flavors are muted and this beer is not a bright lively beer... An example of a bright lively double ipa would be STONES ENJOY BY ... But this based on this bottle is not worth a repeat:( ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle. Malty sticky pine resin thing with some fruity esters. Ok, but expected a bit more for some reason. Too sticky and sweet.

With Zach, pours a rusty golden brown pour with a java head. Nose is deep pine and hard resin, with some background citrus. Taste is bitter with strong pine and resin, not busting with any real citrus.Finishes on the same bitter tasting notes, have had much better DIPAs, but drinkable at the very least. Quaff Score 6 / 10

Bomber. Pours a copper orange with a beige head and sweet, hoppy, piney aroma. Taste is bitter, malty caramel with hops, pine, resin, and grapefruit leading to a dry, bitter finish.

Bomber bottle from Champanes, this beer had a clear dark orange-red pour and gave a large, fluffy faint off-white bubbled head that was lasting, the bubbles had a pale yellow/orange color to them, it left nice lacing and rings on the glass, the nose had grapefruit, citrus and floral hop aromas with toasted malt, light bread, light grass and orange fruit, malt and bread sweetness, the flavors were grass and light herb hops with a touch of pine, toasted malt, a little bread and malt sweetness, the finish had a good hop bitterness that was drying but very faint on the tongue, there was very little hop bite that lingered, the mouth feel was light medium on the palate, it was creamy and had average carbonation, a nice IPA2 drink.

Bottle shared by Alex and Cindy. Snifter pour was deep copper with a rather clearness for a DIPA. Decent sized head. The aroma was a mixture of fresh citrus hops, slight maltyness, cereal grains, and mild mildew. The taste was very clean and balanced with the mild pungent hops and citrus flavors blending. Not overly malted like so many DIPA. Medium body, clean, mild bitter finish. Really well done and refreshing.

bottle: Clear, copper hue, light head and medium lace. Good balance of malt and hops. Some darker malt balances the lifted tropical hops. Lots of fruit. Very rich aromatically. Dry to off dry without and sourness and moderate bitterness. Nice richness but maybe a little fat. Lacks freshness and CO2. Solid. not great.

Draught. This is big bright IPA with lots of hop action and some good alcohol warmth.

Tap at Stout Brothers. Clear orange pour with a sticky clingy head. Mango and peach aromas. Similar taste, with some sharp hoppiness and a creamy mouthfeel.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/9/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange zest, pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle (undated, but just hit my store). Pours a clear copper color. Aromas of fruity hops and caramel malt. Taste is similar with caramel malt heavier than I prefer for the style. Significant malt; a modest bitterness. Medium to full bodied, average carbonation. I really don’t find anything special here.
