went to get my growler filled with Odell Myrcenary at Whole Foods and the ’tender gave me a taste of this and a taste of Myrcenary. I bought the 500 BC... really nicely balanced malt and stone fruit hops. Reminds me of Firestone Walker Double Jack

Off Alex's discount rack at Pinocchios in Media PA. Dared 9/27/13 but still pretty good. Has a malty sweet aroma typical of many DIPA's. The hops show up in the taste. Citrus and pine come thru over the malt base. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

31 aug 2014, bottle. Light orange, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is orange rind, grapefruit citrus. Med body and mildly fizzy. Orange juice, cotton candy, moderate alcohol. Pretty good.

Bottle.
Glass: Firestone Walker reserve tulip.
Appearance: Clear reddish amber body with a creamy tan head perched strongly on top of the body.
Aroma: The aroma is bright with oranges and grapefruit along with a floral presence, perfume like. The malts show through as well, brown sugar and a sort of attic musky quality to it. This smells like a mildly aged American barleywine.
Taste: Big sweet malts give off hints of caramel and brown sugar while the hops are strongly perfume like. Bitterness is mild and the finish is sort of "fresh air air spray" flavored. This reminds me of an American barleywine.
Palate: Full-bodied, mildly carbonated.
Overall: The hop profile grates on me a bit, tastes like aerosol. Malt base is nice, but this tastes a little old as well.

Clear reddish amber color. Average aroma. Massive sweet malt and West Coast hop taste. Unexpected find at Meijers.

From bomber to pint glass. Resin and pine dominate the aroma, with cracker malt in support. Pours a clear red with billowing off-white head of large, fluffy bubbles. Slight webbing. Taste is dank, earth, pine. Slight citrus in the middle. Pine finish. Moderate high bittering. Finishes moderately dry.

Appearance: Pours bright red with a thick dense off white head.

Aroma: Tropical fruit, pine, caramel.

Taste: Apricot, tangerine up front. Toasty malt, finishes with earthy bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied fairly carbonated.

Overall: A pretty well made double IPA. The aroma would lead you to believe the beer would taste a bit on the sweet side, when in fact, it’s perfectly balanced. I enjoyed this and would compare it to a Bear Republic Double IPA.

Amber color with fluffy head and sticky lacing. Pleasant sweetness from malt bill with notes of pine, grapefruit, and spice from hops. Solid.

Bottle. A yellow color with a white head. A overly sweet pine and floral aroma with a malt finish. It doesn’t feel balanced and not a beer to return to.
