Bottle from store in North Park. Has a funky aroma associated with old expired beer. Huge chunks of dead yeast floating and a glowing yellow hue with small fizzy head. The flavor is a sweet malt mess with a lot of honey like flavors but this is just to old for me to enjoy.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty with a hint of banana. A lighter bodied fairly average hefe. Nice wheat flavors, slight banana and clove flavor. Crisp and clean. It a pretty average American Wheat beer. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I am sick and tired and I’m not gonna take it anymore. So many American brewers have the audacity of calling there piss yellow fizzy beers that retain no head and have little or no cloudiness a hefeweizen. This is not a hefeweizen; it’s an American wheat beer and nothing more. At least SN has the common descency of calling their beer what it is. This is a poor American Wheat to. Sure it’s refreshing but so is every wheat beer I’ve ever tried. Budweiser, on occassion, has been refreshing. If I’m gonna pay $7.99/sixer I better get something that is more than just refreshing. GRRR!

This may be an old bottle... some signs of age. It pours with a quick white head, is only slightly hazy golden. Is fruit estery with apricot bordering on citrus. The hops are more substantial than the Anchor Summer beer which this is obviously a relative of. I prefer this beer though the Anchor Summer had a nice touch of history to it while this one is distinctly a newer generation American wheat.

A hazy golden hue. Big foamy head that quickly dissapears. Has the typical wheat aroma with malty sweetness. Just enough hops to give it that crisp finish. A decent Hefeweizen.

A very whimpy wheat (arn’t they all?) Slight apricot flavor, nothing special.

Light, yet kind of flavorful. Rich, with a slight apricot flavor. Refreshing and easy-drinking. Subtle yeast flavor.
