Bottle, at cafe abseits in bamberg, summer 2011. Very drinkable for a bock with an inviting golden colour and modest head, firm but smooth texture, grassy bitterness balancing some vanilla malt so it doesn’t finish too sticky. Plaudits

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 31 July 2010) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, grass and hints of tropical fruit. Malty taste with notes of bread, butter, grass, tropical fruit and a generous grassy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body with a solid malt sweetness throughout. Impressive malt character nicely balanced by the grassy bitterness. Brilliant maibock.

Warm golden with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, flower and hints of alcohol. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, caramel, flower and alcohol, maybe a little too much, but still the overall impression is OK.
