Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Sourish aroma. Starts malty, modest roasty, mild sourish. Fruity notes of berries. Also some spicy-herbal notes. Not too drinkable. Strange one.

The head is ok, the body brown. it smells yeasty, darkmalty, strange, wheat. The taste is spiritus, yeasty, a bit alcoholic, strange, malty. Not my favourite. 106/7/7/9/6

500 ml bottle. BB 24/10. From landbierparadies.com.
Dark hazy brown colour with a small tan head. Wheat, yeast, grainy maltiness, mild sourness and mild chocolatey sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is wheat, yeast, mild bitterness, dark chocolate and grainy maltiness. Drinkable. Darkish.

Pours a hazy rust color with a large tan creamy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of yeast, caramel, bread and raisins.

Bottle by 10.11.(12). Nose is airy and spacious with spice and faint clove, caramel and seemingly some funk. Pours a dark amber with a frothy beige head. Taste is gently sweet, light crispness in the light-medium body with some eventual graininess, bitterness is inconsequential. Zesty fresh wheat taste with little hints here and there of roast or toffee or smoke phenols but missing a lot of traditional HW character. Still, once I got past the fumes from the bottle and focused on the creamy texture, the beer in the glass turned out to be quite enjoyable!

bottled, chez mowbeer. quite a murky off-copper colour with a steady beige head; aroma of caramelised bananas and musk; hints of strawberry jam, a little unclean and gluggy but still pleasant drinking as with all of hummel’s beers. and i like their sports clothes too

Bottled. A mahogany coloured beer with a nice white head. The aroma has banana and bubblegum with sadly a touch of vomit. Sweet in the mouth and a little sugary. More banana. Fairly full bodied. Over sweet though.

At the brewery tap, Merkendorf 14/07/2011. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish malts, bubble gum and banana with a yeasty edge and dryish finish. Ok.

Bottle. Cloudy brown beer with a strong but soon disappearing fizzy head. The aroma is rich, malty and yeasty, and the flavour is roasted, yeasty and malty with a hint of citrus. Overall an average beer.
