Commercial Description:
Cask, Special;
Humpty Dumpty Brewery’s autumn seasonal for 2007 is Hop Harvest Gold, a refreshing and deceptively drinkable golden ale at 5.0%abv. This is a special beer for us, as we designed and brewed this beer with the first Goldings hops of the 2007 harvest, with special thanks to hop farmer Chris Daws of Kitchenham Farm, Bodiam in East Sussex and his family.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has primary notes of elderflowers, but also lighter notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of elderflowers as well as lighter notes of citrus, peaches, hops, and nectar, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is light. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear golden with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with a leathery whiff of Bret. Light body with a hint of underlying sweetness but also acidic with a dry and bitter finish. Most likely infected, but somehow came out fine. 220808

Bottle, thx to fonefan. A slightly hazy orange-golden beer with a medium sized off-white head. There’s some brett in the aroma and flavor, can’t imagine that’s intended, but it gives it a nice twist. Well, maybe not very nice in this beer, but at least not offensive. The aroma has citrusy hops with some resin and a chalky touch. Citrusy, mildly bitter flavor, quite fruity, leading to a citrusy, sourish finish with just a little bitterness. Medium body. Strange one. (080822)

Bottled at Monks Cafe, Stockholm. pours out in a hazy golden colour with a fluffy lasting white foam. Dryish and quite fragrant hop aroma of lemon, peaches and wet grass. Light-bodied with notes orange-sweets, mild grapefruit and sweat. Citric medium-bitter finish.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, brief head. Aroma of yellow plums, apricot and grapefruit. Medium sweet with light-medium body. Spritxy and citric with some yeast in a finish with low bitterness.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is dry hoppy with a mild brett note. Flavour is mild fruity towards berry and medium dry woody with a light brettish note and slight citric. Lingering mellow finish. Smooth and tasty yet again perhaps not as intended.
