sm89walt (433), Norwich, Norfolk, England Jun 27, 2009 Cask - Fat Cat, Norwich. Clear amber, lasting white head of medium thickness and density. Ginger aromas with a malty sweet spine. A good combination of ginger in the forefront and lemon in the finish with a slight hint of grassiness. The palate texture was fine but the finish was disappointingly short with ginger in the aftertaste. thebeertourist (2751), Oslo, Norway Jun 13, 2009 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy, deep golden with a big off-white head. Fruity hop aroma with noticeable lemon notes. Refreshing lemony flavours balanced by dry spiciness and hops. Ginger kicks in towards the finish. Advanced summer ale. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Jan 5, 2009 Bottle 50cl. Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, lemon, ginger. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, finish has a peppery - ginger burn. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081003] yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 28, 2008 50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours cloudy yellow with a diminished white head. Mild brett aroma and dry impression. Flavour is dry and mild citrusy, not much ginger. Light ginger into the far finish, slowly building into a more dense impression. Fin (3382), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Nov 21, 2008 Cask at The Turf, Oxford in the company of Glen 09-11-08. I finished on this beer before cycling home in the most appalling weather. Pours golden in colour with more of a powder ginger than root ginger profile. The lemon is there and does show itself but it really takes a back seat to the ginger, that said this is a well balanced beer, very refreshing and with a nice dry tangy finish, very nice indeed. imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Nov 18, 2008 Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern with Fin. Gold with white head. I was prepared to slate this, but it just goes to show, it was really very good. Hoppy and lemony with good bittering, dry and refreshing. I really liked it. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 23, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear golden with a nice white head. A little Brett and citrus in the nose. Light body, fruity, again with citrus and Brett accents while the ginger is rather downplayed. Finishes dry. 031008 Ungstrup (14754), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 15, 2008 Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of ginger, and so is the flavor, though combined with light notes of lemongrass, leading to a dry lemony finish. Thanks fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.
