Bottle, 4.0%. OK citric aroma. Almost clear golden colour. Good citric flavour, nicely rough bitterness. Hint of yeast in the aftertaste.

Cask at Peterborough beer fest. Alround rating: Pale lagerish malts, herbal hop spice, lemon is key and the ginger is a bit subtle compaired to how id like it. But still alright.

Bottled from The Real Ale Shop, Branthill, Norfolk. Slightly thick gold body with a rocky white head (bit of a heavy handed pour). Aroma of tart hops and slight washy ginger. Ginger swings through in the first sip but it’s still not hardcore; the hops are at the fore and buzz on the tongue. Think thin biscuit flavours rather than Ginger Nuts. Warms to a lovely lemonish lick, again not too blunt. A well balanced beer, complimentary flavours and a good itching feel in the mouth that wouldn’t be amiss from a Belgian bottle. Tasty stuff for the first of the sixty bottles of Norfolk beer I have to work my way through this summer.

Bottle. Golden beer with a well hopped aroma with probably some ginger and citrus. The flavour is very bitter and dry. Overall a very nice beer.

Cask gravity at Cambridge BF 08. Gold with thin white head. Odd kiddie sweet sherbert aroma. Ginger comes through and so does some lemon drizzle cake. Light and has some real lemon and ginger, but flavourings are light and work quite well. Quite lively and envigorating. Certainly works well. Decent. Finish is very welcoming.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Wine of Course.
Hazy golden with a thin white head and fairly heavy sediment. Slightly spicy and yeasty aroma with a Belgian hoppy character. Burnt malt flavour with some nice aromatic and floral hops. Hardly any evidence at all of the lemon or ginger, maybe just a hint of it in the otherwise dry and flowery hop finish. Nothing amazing but far from a drain pour.

A light golden beer with a thin white head. The nose is distinctly citrusy with a hint of ginger. The taste is again of citrus fruits, almost like an old fashioned lemonade(!), the ginger is strong in the flavour, there is a slight dry hoppiness in the aftertaste. (Draught - from the Brewery’s tent @ The Royal Norfolk Show, 2004)

Cask Handpump at the Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield 21/08/2004 Golden coloured slightly hazy appearance. Hoppy with a slightly dry lasting ginger spice finish.
