Clear amber; yellowish, dense & huge head. Cookies - with cocos, or speculoos in the nose. Sweet, faint malty taste, "Traubenzucker". In the finish, just a bit of acidity; warming up some tobacco. Empty, totally empty mouthfeel. Mediocre, somehow less then the other Texel beers.

Clear medium amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, light to moderate roasted and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, light chocolate, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20120317]

Rich orange, small self-supporting head. Amazing malty aroma, nutty too. Sweet malty taste, excellent nutty bitter component, not too drying. Long nutty finish. Very solid Belgian ale - well done the Dutch!
