Pours clear pale yellow with good head and medium carbonation. Grassy, lemon, hay, and lime aromas. More citrus on the taste, touch of soap. Easy drinking and overall OK.

Beese (1651) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 24, 2014
Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Watford. Poured a very cloudy orange with a halo of white head. Slightly sour aroma, with some barley sugar and grassy hop. Initial flavours of orange juice, sharp acid and wet grass. Finish was acidic with unripe citrus and copper. This clearly wasn’t in good condition, but was well within it’s Best Before date and had been kept cellared.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s, Team Valley, Gateshead. This is a cloudy yellow-amber coloured beer with a rich malty, citrus fruit and lemon flavour slight woody notes and a creamy spicy fruity finish.

BlackHaddock (3635) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle conditioned 500ml: BBD end of Dec 14, poured carefully into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 29 Nov 13. Slight haze to my amber/dull golden pint: on top a full and deep white blanket of foam, enough to put out an aircraft fire. The nose was sweetened fruit laden onto a malted bread loaf, lashings of butter and all floating on a yeast pillow. The taste wasn’t as sweet as the aroma hinted at: this is fairly bitter and dry in the mouth, almost sour in fact (I wonder if the bright lights of the supermarket shelves has had an effect?), as if it was ’on the turn’ or had a yeast infection. Anyway I drank the lot, so it couldn’t have been off. Medium body depth and well carbonated, it had a mini fizz to it and on opening it tried to get out the bottle before I brought the glass to it. I have really enjoyed every beer from these guys before: this one however has let them down a little (if my bottle has come as they intended).

Philym (982) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2013
Appearance: Clear amber with finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Tangerine marmalade, pepper, hints of grapefruit, apricot and floral notes. Bread and waft of leather. Taste: Low sweetness, medium bitterness and sourness. Palate: Rough texture and light body, prickly carbonation, fairly abrupt astringent biscuity, peppery and citrus finish. Comments: Very good and refreshing. Glass lace. Reminded me of a saison.

imdownthepub (10139) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2013
Bottled, 500ml from Sainsbury’s in Banbury. Hazy orange gold with white head. A beery, malty aroma on opening leading to a slightly flabby, fruity beer, there is an orange pulpy note along with a hint of apple. The malt is lightly roasted, a touch sweet. The beer on the whole is quite drinkable if just a little unbalanced.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, plenty of fruit in the aroma, the taste is bitter and a touch sour with a dry finish.

Nilz (382) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - OCT 31, 2013
500ml bottle from Sainsbury’s pours a slightly cloudy light gold ale with a thick head which lasted. A somewhat minimal aroma, nicer taste than that would have implied - sweet, modest bite and citrus hops. Kinda nice.
