3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is a bit skunky and not very fruity - perhaps that’s what makes this ’extra dry’? ;-)
Looks, well, like carbonated piss. Taste is good - thirst-quenching and not overwhelmingly sweet, with a nice balance of alcohol and fruit.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden coloured body with a light copper glow and no head at all. Aroma of apples, grapes, alcohol, caster sugar and a touch of grass. Medium-bodied; Nice fresh apple flavour with some pears, citrus and caster sugar strong behind. Good finish with some light fruity and dry complexity in the back, but a smooth sweetness and nothing deep or pungent showing at all. Overall, a surprisingly nice cider with good flavours, no bitterness and a complete smooth taste throughout. I sampled this 33 cL heavy bottom can purchased at the Skukuza Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, near Nelspruit, South Africa on 21-August-2011 sampled at home on the other side of the world in Washington on 31-October-2011.

this is very tasty in the south african summer sun, doesn’t get the respect it deserves, but being a banana doesn’t do me any good, Crispy and Refreshing and surprisingly dry!

Very average aroma of fermenting apples, nothing unexpected. Looks good enough with a gold-yellow tint, but there’s absolutely no head. Has a very dry taste of apples (hence the name!), goes down dry and stays dry. Honesty in advertising for sure! Otherwise there’s not much other taste, a slight apple aroma is about all you get. This is a reliable cider and certainly worth a try or three.

Bottle 34 cl. A clear golden colour with a white head. A fruity aroma. The taste is sweet. A medium body, thin texture, fizzy carbonation and abrupt finish.

bottle. Pours pale yellow with visible carbonation and a fizzy fast fading head, no lace. Sweet but not overly sweet aroma of apples, bubble gum, and spice. Pretty ncie actually. Flavor is sweet apples, ginger (as in ginger ale), with a bit of a band-aid after flavor. Girlie drink. Pretty poudable, but that banb-aid after taste is pretty unpleasant. Probably too sweet for me to have mroe than 1 or two in a sitting. Light bodied with minimal carbonation -- probably its best feature. Overall: not that bad, but not my beverage style of choice.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasting from Jan’ 2010.
Zesty, peach and lime notes on the nose, mildly vinous, spicy and woody like an oak-aged Chardonnay. Poured a radiant, sunny gold and quite effervescent. Tart, mildly acidic and dry with just enough ripe fruit flavours peaking through. Finishes crisp, very clean with little residual flavour. Tangy apple pulp, some wood also in its light body and soft, spritzy mouthfeel. The swallow is mildly warming which I found unusual. No depth, just a very easy drinking cider. Not too shabby overall! 2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An orange cider with a collapsing white head. The aroma is sweet with lots of apples - like a good applejuice. The flavor is sweet with lots of apple flavors leading to a very dry end.

My first lounge cider. Air France lounge, OR Tambo, Jo’burg South Africa. 330 ml can. Clear golden color, moderate carbonation. Aroma of dried and slightly rotted apple skins. Taste is slightly sour, medium dry finish. Mediocre.
