Very average aroma of fermenting apples, nothing unexpected. Looks good enough with a gold-yellow tint, but there’s absolutely no head. Has a very dry taste of apples (hence the name!), goes down dry and stays dry. Honesty in advertising for sure! Otherwise there’s not much other taste, a slight apple aroma is about all you get. This is a reliable cider and certainly worth a try or three.

A cider with head, that last more than 10 sec, not often seen. Yellow and clear. Has a white head, medium duration. Sweet, bitter aroma, notes of grape-fruit. Flavor is mildly sweet, moderate acidic. Dry texture and lively carbonation.

Bottle. Clear light yellow color with no head. Okay carbonation very sweet but fine flavor.

Bottle. Clear pale golden with very tiny white head. Aroma is apples, fruit and a little white wine. Flavour is apples, sweet, little acid, fruit, medium dry and a little artificial.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sour apples, sugar and citrus. Medium carbonation and medium bodied.

Bottle. Yellow colour. Modrate apple aroma. Marcipan notes. Light apple flavor. Short finish. Watery palate. Moderate sweet.

Clear yellow with a diminishing white head. Aroma is sweet, apples and flowers. Flavor is medium sweet. Dry finish. 210312

Clear golden coloured body with a light copper glow and no head at all. Aroma of apples, grapes, alcohol, caster sugar and a touch of grass. Medium-bodied; Nice fresh apple flavour with some pears, citrus and caster sugar strong behind. Good finish with some light fruity and dry complexity in the back, but a smooth sweetness and nothing deep or pungent showing at all. Overall, a surprisingly nice cider with good flavours, no bitterness and a complete smooth taste throughout. I sampled this 33 cL heavy bottom can purchased at the Skukuza Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, near Nelspruit, South Africa on 21-August-2011 sampled at home on the other side of the world in Washington on 31-October-2011.

Bottle 34 cl. A clear golden colour with a white head. A fruity aroma. The taste is sweet. A medium body, thin texture, fizzy carbonation and abrupt finish.

My first lounge cider. Air France lounge, OR Tambo, Jo’burg South Africa. 330 ml can. Clear golden color, moderate carbonation. Aroma of dried and slightly rotted apple skins. Taste is slightly sour, medium dry finish. Mediocre.
