500 ml bottle, as Hunterís Crispy Pig Speciality Ale, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. ABV is 4%. Brewed with Boadicea hops and apple essence. Deep golden colour, large white head. Strong aroma of apple essence / apple candy. The flavour is slightly acidic and fruity with notes of apples, but also with distinct hops and a bitter finish. Okay, and something out of the ordinary, but hardly a beer that will be on my priority list to buy again.

Bottle from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes. Pours hazy deep golden with a small creamy white head. Aroma of apples, strawberries and malts. Taste is dominated of red apples, citric berries, dry berry finish, crisp fresh mouthfeel, high carbonated. Good one.

Lovely easy drinking, taste of apples and tingly on the tongue. A little crisp and tangy, a unique flavour and certainly a good Summer drink.

Bottle thanks to mum and dad, bought back from Devon. Amber beer with small head. Aroma of apples and caramel. Taste is apples, caramel and some light malts with a touch of hop bitterness. I quite enjoyed the hybrid taste. Good.

Bottle. Golden pour with small white head. Distinct apple aroma on the nose. Malty notes with apple on the palate. Pleasant and interesting.

Bottle. Lager gold slicked with white. Sweet nose of bramley and polished pine anticipating sweetness. Then the disconnect: bitter, not apple-dominated, almond-hinting, way more beer than cider, hints of shrub. Vacant finish. Could use some malt sweetness or honey. Better than expected but an odd fusion of incongruous elements that isnít wholly satisfying.

Cask conditioned at The Old Fire House, Exeter, Devon. Gold with white head. For a minute I thought I was drinking the wrong drink, I hadnít ordered a cider and this was definitely appley. There is a tartness to it, some tanginess and it is cidery. Not to my taste.

Bottle. Golden with thin head. Yes apples in the aroma and taste but is absolutely not a cider It is an apple flavoured bitter. Doesnít work for me
