3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 leaparsons (6335) - Leicester, - MAY 24, 2004
Bright gold and a bit flat looking. Aromas are grain with zesty lemon. Flavours are citrus, grain and quite crisp. Some soft malts, too. A pretty dry finish - quite a decent lager.

Bottled, 500ml from Asda, Brighton Marina. Pale gold with white head. Well, there was me thinking that I managed to get a Swiss beer and being conned by S.N. The beer itself is quite flavoursome, lemony, fruity, light and crisp, but I do feel a bit put out.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2012
May 2009: Ordered this over the internet (with a load more beers) thinking it was from Switzerland, but it is now brewed by Sheperd Neame!
Brown 330ml bottle, poured into my ’La Chouffe’ stemmed tulip shaped glass.
Typical pale golden pilsner/lager look to it, the white head soon left as normal too.
Slight apricot, grapefruit and citrus aroma. There was also some malted biscuits from the bottle in the initial sniff, but that dispersed before the beer had hit the glass.
Nothing special here, dry, refreshing and boring.
I have read elsewhere that they only use Challenger Hops and a yeast culture imported from Switzerland. It is also supposed to be an all malt brew. I couldn’t pick up any strong malt content, but there are hints in the taste.
Fairly thin body, a lightwieght export in my view.
Nothing wrong with the beer, ideal for a warm sunny day thirst quencher, but not a classic in any way.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 oh6gdx (16084) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 8, 2011
Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is eggy, quite grainy and rather harsh. Flavour is being very similar, but also got a smooth sweet maltyness. That’s isn’t enough for saving the beer from being bulky though.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Bottle at Brasserie Fédéral in Zürich. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium thin and foamy white head that diminishes to a film steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet malt and grassy hops. Light body with a mild floral and grassy hops character underscored by sweet malt. The finish is short and lightly hoppy. Barely average overall.

50 cl bottle...Pours a clear golden yellow, slight white head with moderate retention...bready, malty, and a little yeasty on the nose...slightly sweet with a bit a a bitter bite for balance...light bodied with average carbonation...generic, but not awful.

Had at Faversham Town FC. Corny, overly gassy and without any positive characteristics you’d expect from a beer. Rubbish.

Draught Dover Castle Brighton. A straw coloured lager with a white head and lace. A grassy lager served ice cold to hide any nastiness. Refreshing, clean and harmless enough but no depth of quality.
