2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: APR 7, 2008 For what this beer is, a cheap, American, Anheuser Busch, 24 oz can of 8.1% alcoholic goodness, it tastes okay. Compared to other beers of its caliber, the taste of alcohol is covered up quite well. I was surprised by that fact, as I expected a punch to the face by the looks of the can. Anyway, if you’re looking for a good way to start your night, it’s the best that 99 cents has to offer.

Big can. Poured amber color with a large frothy off-white head that diminished slowly and had some lacing. Light sweet grainy aroma. Light body with soft carbonation. Light sweet soapy flavor with a alcohol finish.

Can from Baeza’s, Fort Davis, Texas
What can I say? I had spent the day perusing Fort Davis NHS, the wind was fierce, the sun piercing, and the air dry. Perhaps these factors explain why the hell I plunked down $1.18 (with tax) for a 24 oz. can of this stuff. -sigh-
Pours bubbly and dark corn yellow with an aroma of weak rice with sugar sprinkled on it. Taste is sour copper with hints of corn flakes and barley. Palate is water, alcohol is not noticeable. Intended, I’m sure, so dumbasses can get plowed without puckering their lips and squinting with pain after every attrocious sip. I have a sudden urge to challenge a midget to a fight. Weird.
Avoid like herpes.
I give it an overall of ’2’ only because a) the checkout lady at the store, though obviously underage, was kinda hot, and b) I bought it in Fort Davis.

Nasty. Deep muddy color. Soapy head. Burns. Accompanied best by a brown bag, so as to not see what you are drinking.

(can - 16 oz) Murky brownish color. Lots of carbonation. Smells like corn, rotten cherries, alcohol and metal. The taste is very harsh and sharp. Bitter, metallic, sour and brutal. It’s 8.1% and it gets the job done, but still.

In trying to find some positive here, this beer comes in a cool looking can. Aroma was almost nonexistent but it was a decent looking beer. Clean and crisp looking and it had a white soapy head. This beer also had the least body of any I had ever sampled. It had some light golden color but was almost see through. Even the alcohol content was overrated. I have had high alcohol beer before but this one had almost no effect.

The aroma is of cooked cabbage and unpleasent. The beer pours a clear golden with a small white head that is very short lasting. Tasteless, not offensive, just tasteless, with a bland finish on the palate.

Pours a suprisingly dark yellow. Goes downhill from there. Tastes like stale garbaje. Corn. Metal. Cardboard? Alcohol. Found myself contemplating pouring half out, but manned up and finished this abomination.

At first I was surprised when I saw this beer was something other than the straw colored crap that would be in tall boys on the shelf nearby. But in the end it just looked sort of dirty or muddy. This impression of the color may have come from the taste which is also kind of dirty and muddy. Tastes like cheap malt liquer.. well it IS cheap maly liquer. If I was going to rate it according to its category ONLY then it might get a 2. There are many worse in this realm.
It smells sweetish and cardboard-y, has a decent head (soap? ;) and it laces and kind of lasts. Very thin in the mouth. Gainy, metallic, alchoholish in a bad way - still sweet though. Dirty taste, Dirty finish... AVOID
