24 oz can that Muzzlehatch shared with tiggmtl and myself on 11/6/05. Deep amber-gold with the usual orange gleam of a malt liquor and the even more usual fierce carbonation, large (initially) white, bubbly head that was slow to diminish. No lacing. Aroma of light dms, lots of corn syrup, almost a light tart/sourish thing, stale corn with mint? Lots of cheap sugar. Initial flavor does not have that thick, overbearing dms and corn wretchedness, just lots of candyish, cloying sugar. I almost start to remark how surprised I am, but then, as the liquid sits in the mouth and growing on the finish, builds a wretched, spoiled veggies, sourish and putrid. Soon alcohol has joined the foray and is backed by more cloying sugar. High levels of sharp carbonation, cotton candy and more alcohol and veggies on the aftertaste. Very challenging to drink more than two or three sips.

what the hell is this thing? it looks like a gatorade sent by the devil. itís graphics are so trite it looks like a lorentz length expanded program from a Buffalo Bills football game. i have to give props to busch for making a beer that isnít 4% alcohol, 95% piss, .5% poison, and .5% water. not even the sweet sensations of this steely dan song can distract me from its awful taste.

24 oz. can. Dark honey body with a lasting foamy head. Nose-cinamon, dust, green apples. Tatse-green apple jolly rancher, sweet cherry, alot of fruity esters, corn syrup. Not too bad for a malt loquor. Not overly corny. But, it is so sweet and full of apple flavors that it tastes very similar to hard apple candy

Like I said, I donít mind Steel Reserve (@6% alc/vol) I never had the 8%. Anyway, I canít drink this crap. Poured it out after a sip. Iíve tried two cheap malt liquors since they removed the 6% cap on the beer in NC. Iím going strictly craft/micro from now on. Bring on the La Trappeís Triple!

24 oz can purchased at Woodmans in Janesville, WI (swill heaven) and forced upon my compatriots tiggmtl and ClarkVV while drunkenly attempting to play Trivial Pursuit. Honey-syrup appearance, honestly I think it poured slow, with an enormous fluffy head that actually lasted, honestly I must give them credit for this...tremendously awful, I mean nearly wretch-inducting rotting veggie-sewage nose, Stevenís dog didnít even like it....syrupy-salty flavor, not a good combination but not as stomach-churning as the nose...thick, cloying body. Yeah, another winner from A-B.

Absolutely wretched stuff. Worse than Steel Reserve. I couldnít finish the 32oz can. At first thereís no flavor.. and then it hits you. The awful chemical taste somewhat like how your closet smells after itís been flooded and the door has been shut for a month. I managed to take down about 5 swigs of this and the rest went down the drain. The only consolation was that it only cost me about $1.29

This is all kinds of swill... light gold color. Smells and tastes like sweet and moldy corn. I have technically had worse, but this is near the bottom tier.

Given the name High Gravity for the speed it went down my drain. Bitter, skunked, you could smell and taste the alcohol. I couldnít even finish two sips. Cheap drunk for the homeless.

I found this beer bitier than I usually like, at first. After a few sips I fell into itís unique taste. Not quite like a micro brew, but a nice switch from the major brewers. I like it, and the price in our area was comfortable (24 oz. for $ .99). a good value for a good flavor.
