3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tjthresh (1850) - Greenfield, USA - DEC 9, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark amber orange with signs of white head. The nose is very much a citrus rind character. Flavor tastes like the rind as well, and there is a toasted malt note. Medium esy to drink body with plenty of carbonation. Not bad.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 phaleslu (3544) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 21, 2009
Draft pint at the brewpub. Hazy reddish-orange pour with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, buscuit, floral notes. Flavor follows suit, with a decent balance. Crisp and refreshing. Light body. Mildly bitter finish.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 unclemattie (3354) - Georgia, USA - APR 11, 2009
Draft @ Hurricane. Very cloudy, unfiltered golden orange. White creamy head. I love an unfiltered ale. Nice citrus aroma and some pale malts. Flavor is a bready malt, fruity finish, and a citrus hop character in every sip. Smooth creamy mouth feel. Medium bodied. Very refreshing.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 osu97gp (499) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 3, 2009
Draft. Poured a cloudy orange with a minimal white head. Aroma of malts and citrus. A very strong citrus flavor with a strong after taste of citrus rinds. Overall it is a decent beer that could use some more hops.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (10202) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 15, 2009
Bright amber colour. There’s a lot of soft English bitterness (good) and herbal notes (also good) but way too much diacetyl (very bad) and on the whole it ruins the beer.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (4766) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - FEB 13, 2009
Clear copper with small but tight tan head. Buttery aroma detracts. Some apple sauce in there too. There is a good beer under all the butter, I detect herbal bitterness and lots of fruit.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GAManiac (1906) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 1, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Pours pale amber with little head and no lacing.
The aroma is mild with some bready malts and a hint of earthy hops. There is some caramel sweetness, but only faintly.
Slightly toasted malts and earthy hops dominate, though they’re certainly not packing a lot of punch. Hop bitterness is present but faint – pretty thin bodied overall.
Not terrible, but really nothing to stand out, especially as an IPA. It’s pretty fair as a standard pale ale.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jcwattsrugger (9057) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 1, 2008
on tap-pours a thin white head and amber color. Aroma is medium malt-non sweet caramel, yeasty/bread, earthy. Taste is medium malt-non sweet caramel, yeasty/bread, earthy hops (fuggles and EKG). Gentle/middle of style for an EPA. Nicely done.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 brianprentiss (620) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 28, 2008
If you don’t expect an IPA, this beer is quite nice. It’s more of an amber or standard APA. But, overall it’s a tasty and refreshing beer.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 JonnyC22 (164) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - SEP 27, 2007
First of all, this doesn’t even taste like an IPA. It’s a good beer, but it’s not a good IPA by any means.
