COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This British mild ale is flavored with toasted rye and caramelized specialty grains. The sweet blend of malt flavors are drawn into focus with premium English Fuggles and First Gold hops. A lingering chewy finish is balanced with a late kettle addition of extra aromatic hops. It is fermented with a classic British ale yeast strain that produces a mild fresh baked bread flavor and fruity apple and pear aroma. Perfectly served with any loaded hamburger or along side Southern-fried catfish and sweet potato chips drizzled with our signature malt vinegar.

Amber colour. Nice toasted aroma. Very toasty palate with notes of rye (I don’t think they used any, though). There are subtle esters, no doubt a function of the English yeast (apple, pear). Nice beer for the style.

Tap. Pours a dark amber with a thin cream colored head. The aroma is mostly of malts with some hops. The flavor is of malts, hops and a hint of some sort of fruit. A smooth and easy to drink beer.

Clear copper with small to no head. Mild fruity aroma, even has a touch of watermelon in it. Juicy body with low carbonation. The rye adds an interesting character. Body is mainly fruity, but has a nice bready quality too. Not bad at all, and has definite session potential.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with a thin tan head that leaves no retention or lacing. The aroma was interesting with some hops and a nice spiciness from the rye on top of a bit of caramel sweetness. The taste has light malts and some rye with a slight spiciness. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth with moderate carbonation and clean finish. I actually enjoyed this one a good bit. The rye really helped make this into an interesting take on the style. I would definitely try this one again.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber almost brown with no head. Mostly just caramel in the nose. Same with the flavor with just a bit of bitterness. Medium-full body with some carbonation (duh). Passable at best.

Pretty thin and bitter, really. I enjoyed drinking several of them, though, to see if anything changed...my opinion of the beer didn’t, but my opinion of the girl sitting outside did.
