COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hurricane Saison, NOLA’s latest seasonal ale, gets it’s name from the Flemish word meaning “season”. Brewed with five different types of malts, including one un-malted raw wheat, pilsner and aromatic malts, Hurricane Saison also contains three types of hops: Sterling, Kent Goldings, and Styrian Goldings.

Hazy golden colour with a white small head. Belgian style yeast, mild bitterness, malt and spices in a delicious aroma. Nice flavour of Belgian yeast, bitter hops, fruit and metal. Balanced. Bitterness stays. A really good one.

On tap at Irish House in New Orleans, Louisiana- NOLA Hurricane Saison has a thick, fluffy, slightly off-white head and a hazy, golden appearance, with lost of thick lacing left on the glass. The aroma is very much of green grass or a freshly-mowed lawn (St. Augustine grass). There is some sweetness and malt as well. Taste is of green grass, sweet & resiny hops, sugar, candy and loveliness. Mouthfeel is medium, and NOLA Hurricane Saison finishes semi-dry, clean, and smooth. Overall, this is a wonderful draft beer. A must-try! RJT

Svesse (6041) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 22, 2011
(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 11 Aug 2011) Hazy amber colour with rocky, off-white head. Malty, spicy nose with grass, hay, herbs and slightly earthy hops. Fruity, slightly tart taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, grass and a generous, spicy bitterness in the finish. Dry, refreshing and slightly tart. More than medium body. Didn’t really expect that from Louisiana, but this is quite an excellent little saison. Very nice.
