This a Belgian Witbier kicked up a bit with Belgian pils malt, oats and wheat and a bit of Honey malt. It is fermented with abbey yeast and flavored with lemongrass, bitter and sweet orange peel, gingerroot, coriander and grains of paradise

On tap- Served a hazy copper color with a small head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of fruit, coriander, spices bit of malt sweetness and grain. Mixed flavor of fruit and mild malt sweetness, spices with a bit of grain. There is a pleasant bitterness in the background with a dry finish. Medium body, smooth with no hint of the 6.6 ABV. Nice drinker that goes down easy. My favorite of the HHH offerings.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, copper-hued body with a smallish, off-white head. Smell: Lightly grainy, vaguely sweetish nose bathed in richly-scented spices. Taste: Mildly grainy, mildly tangy, and mildly sweet wheat flavor upfront. A touch floral and fruity, then it’s on to the distinct spices: lemongrass, earthy coriander, and particularly punchy grains of paradise. All of the various tastes meld well enough as you transition into a dry finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A decent Belgian-style beer packed with spices. The strong nature of the spices keeps this one a slow sipper speed.
