Serving: Draft. It pours with a slightly hazy, orange body with a small, foamy, white head. The nose has notes of grain, pale malt, earth, and dust. The taste is suprisingly heavy and grainy for the style. Light florals, slight fruity notes, and malt sweetness round out the palate. Light to medium in body with a short finish. Not the best example of the style, but still not dreadful.

I think this is what I had at the Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting. Very light bodied. Fruity and sweet. Very drinkable. Nice job. One of my favorites from the festival.

This is nothing like the old Huske. The brewmaster knows what’s whe’s doing, and Im looking forward to all future beers.

Appearance: Amber-hued body and, as with the Level-Headed Blonde, there’s an almost imperceptible haze. Topped by a small, white head. Smell: Spicy nose of whole grain bread surrounded by fruity, floral notes. Taste: Slightly bready malts with a caramel and wildflower honey sweetness. Lightly fruity, a bit grapelike. Pinch of earthy spices. Floral hops with a mild bitterness. Touch of alcohol on the drying, spiced fruit finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation. Drinkability: A decent enough brew, but I’d much prefer to sit down with a pint of the Kill-A-Man Red or Sledgehammer Stout.
