Growler at RBWG 2010 thanks to growler. The pour is a nice brown with red when held to the light with a thick off-white head atop. The aroma is beer in general but with sweetness and some smoked meats. The flavor is sweet burnt sugar with chocolate and a hint of charry smoke in the background. Very nice.

Growler… RBWG ‘10… Mostly clear, dark copper ale. The nose is of subtle chocolate and nuts with a touch of praline and a slight beefy component. Medium-bodied and watery with tingly carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced and a bit beefy, but there’s not much more to it. Finishes minerally and very mildly bitter. Thanks go out to growler for giving me the chance to finally try a beer from this unique, fabled little brewpub!
