From tap at the brewpub. Red-brown with a dense, nice head. The aroma has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel and a touch of candy sugar. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, a touch of nuts and the body is rather full. It’s smooth, pleasant and very worth a try.

Clear amber with a medium sized beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and mild hoppy notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel and grassy hops. Finished bitter.

Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, strawberry, notes, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. A chestnut brown beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, spices - among them licorice, and a bit of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and a bit of nuts, leading to a dry finish.

Dark brown with a beige head, partly disappearing, some lacings. Aroma moderate malty (roasted, light chocolate). Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light/medium body. Reallly fine.

Draught. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Some caramellic notes. Light bitter nice herbal/grassy flavor nicely blended with caramel. Strange but it works. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

On tap. Pours a clear warm amber with a creamy off-white head leaving broad curtains of lacework. Roasted, nutty nose. Medium body, roasted malts and nuts with a vague underlying note of fustiness. The finish is dry with a surprising alcohol presence. 231009

Sweet and malty aroma of caramel with notes of bread.
Sweet and malty flavour of caramel with notes of bread and hops.

Draught at the brewpub. Unclear, copper body, with a dense, beige head on top. The head diminished rather quickly, but some fine lacings were formed. Caramel-dominated aroma, with a tiny roasted note and a little fruityness. Caramel, fruit, sugar-sweetness and a little bitterness in the flavor. Medium to full body. It finished fruity, with some caramel as well. This is the beer I would stick to if I was doing a session at this brewpub. (070807)

Draught at the Brauhaus / brewpub’s tent at Husumer Hafentage. Served in a plastic glass. Deep brown colour, slightly hazy, creamy head. Moderate caramel aroma. Pleasant mellow and well rounded flavour with plenty of caramel, low bitterness.
