Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Caramel/sugary and herbal/heather nose. Nice chestnut, champagne bubbles, brown ceamy lacing head. Sugary, light roasted malt base, fairly lightbodied. Quick papery finish, tapering into nothingness. A whif of hops and this would be a nice refreshing brew.

Draught @ Brauhaus Knallhütte, Knallhütte 1, 34225 Baunatal-Knallhütte, Germany. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt brown sugar, burnt and coffee notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Fresh and easy to drink. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090706]

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also some hoppy notes. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and caramel, leading to a dry strawy end.

Bottle: amber coloured, thin, quite stable off-white head that sticks to the glass; rather faint toasted-malty nose, like heavily diluted coffee; moderate quite dry bitter flavour; light bodied; dry, moderate bitter, toasted-malty and also slightly fruity (dark berries) finish. a decent, but very restrained Schwarzbier.........
