Typical smell and look for a kristallweizen. Good lacing. Taste was full of banana, citrus, and bread. Typical and nothing spectacular.

Hefiger und etwas zitroniger Geruch mit metallischer Note. Zitroniger, marginal herb angehauchter Start. Mitte hefig-frisch. Danach würzmalzig mit einigen Bitternoten abfließend. Nicht unbedingt viel Tiefe, im Großen und Ganzen jedoch in Ordnung.Test vom 20.9.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Crystal clear, strong golden, sparkling tidy, with good creamy and flat head. It smells yeasty, hoppy, subtly sweet. Starts yeasty, slightly hoppy-bitter in the background. The center part remains yeasty and slightly musty, unfortunately towards the end.

Golden colored with medium sized white head. Rich banana dominates this aroma with thin spices, very fruity aroma indeed. Medium bodied. Flavor is also dominated by rich banana, sweet lemon here as well. Aftertaste dries a bit. Good kristall.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is banana, some wheat, mild hoppyness as well as some slight salty notes. Flavour is being quite much the same, but quite much sweeter than the aroma was showing. Perfect beer with a brunch. (points given are without the brunchbonus though).

Clear golden colour with small frothy white head. Wheat, clove and bubblegum in aroma. Flavour is a bit crispier. Fruity as well. This is actually pretty good for a Kristallweizen. Some mild bitterness in short aftertaste. Somewhat fizzy.

(bottle) Almost clear, golden colour with a huge and persistent foamy white head. Sweet, slightly milky and moderately wheaty aroma with notes of banana and dusty cloves. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderate wheat-character with notes of banana and a whiff of citrus towards the sweet-bitter and slim finish with a little fizz. 28.X.10

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear pale golden yellow. Malty, lots of banana with some hoppy bitterness.

Bottle. Sweet banana/orange, wheat malt and bitter clove aroma. Clear golden yellow color with large white head and strong effervescence. Sweet orange juice, clove and light wheat malt flavor. Decent - would have liked more maltiness.

It’s warm golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has fat notes of banana and clove. The sweet flavor also has clear and fat notes of banana, wheat and clove – normally a kristall is more subdued than the original hefe, but this one surely has a lot of nice goodies left in it.
