The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts mild-malty, but then smoky-dry, a bit scratchy, warming finish. Well balanced, really good!

bottle. Clear mahogany-brown colour, mid-sized head. Malty nose with a touch of roaeetd malt. Flavours of malt, roasetd malt and dark chocolate/cocoa powder. Malty but not sweet, dry and rather hoppy finish.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a medium-sized greige foamy head. Sweet, nutty and toast-malty aroma with a light touch of sour dough, caramel and shades of herbal hops in the background. Light-bitter flavour with a delicately underlying malty sweetness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Robust toasty-and slightly nutty malty taste with caramel and shy herbal hops from the beginning; moderately dry, toasty and with balancing hoppy bitterness. Decent Dunkel (14.X.08).

Bottle: Deep chestnut-amber coloured, small, but stable off-white foamy layer; shy dry roastmalty nose, mixed with caramel and hops; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; a tinge ogf coffee in the drier bitter-sweet finish. Quite pleasantly balanced Dunkel..........
