Pours strong golden yellow with fine head. Smell has sweet grain and some floral hops. Starts malty-sweet, full-bodied with nice floral hops. Middle part has also sweet crispy malt notes, well paired with floral hops and some hay. Goes into a sweet grainy finish with lots of hay.

Bottle. Golden, small to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty - lightly grainy and sweetish aroma, some caramel and light bread. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light caramel, faint hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - lightly grainy and lightly sweetish, light caramel and bread, light sharp metal, faint hoppyness. Bit thin märzen with caramel and notes of metal. Really could use more bitterness.

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, nice creamy head. Starts fine malty-spicy, notes of some herbs, a bit grasy. Finish not much milder, still fine spicy, intense malty. Really good märzen!

500ml bottle. Clear dark golden colour with small, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Malty, malt-spicy aroma, cautious hints of caramel and marzipan. Taste is minimally strawy, grainy, minimally sweet malty, dry, strawy hoppy overtones; light and monotonous. Boring.

(bottle) pours a clear amber colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of caramel, dark fruit, peaches, pale malts and a hint of grass. flavour is mostly the same, lotsof gently roasted chewy malts and peaches, with a hint of caramel, some earth and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Ernest (6143) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, orange, flowers), with a hint of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Unexciting, but thankfully clean and nicely balanced. Mild and forgettable, but perfectly enjoyable.
