May 2, 2005 Draught Clear dark gold; white head, leaving some lace. Green leaves smell, as from Buxus or Ligustrum , some grain too. Dry grains taste, with a pinch of caramel, sweetish and a spicey, peppery finish. Excellent balance! Medium at best, but the alcohol is there. This is rather remarkable. Where they went to fetch this Bavarian brewery is anybody’s guess, but it made no small difference, IMO.

Rerate: On tap. SO much more interesting than the bottled version. Starts off bitter and ends sweet for the change. Good full mouthfeel. German characteristics, which isn’t strange because it’s currently brewed in Bavaria.

Sep 2, 2002 Raisin and bread in the aroma. Also raisin, cabbage and some hopbitterness in the flavor. Little lace.

Dec 11, 2005 golden lager with german hops and chlaky notes. Sweet malt with nice crisp character, good german hops and some honey. Not bad. May 1,2005 at 2nd KBC Festival, Den Bosch, NL.
