Bottled (BB 07/2008)
Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Very dark brown color, small expresso head. Sweet dark fruits dominate the aroma (plums, dates), also some caramel malts. Crisp carbonation. Licorice, plums, dark malts, some hops and then alcohol in the finish. Nice lingering licorice flavor in the aftertaste. Very good tasty doppelbock ... it is a not Celebrator but very wellmade..

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
I had this "criminal dilicious" beer in end spring. It was a good beer but a bit too bitter.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle) Hazy reddish-brown hue with yeast floaties and a small foamy beige head. Sweet nose with roasted malts and yeasts. Moderately sweet flavour and taste, medium body, lively carbonated mouthfeel. Initially roast-malty taste with caramel. Almost dry finish with a sharp roast-malty bitterness. Decent but not very convincing brew.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled. 0.75 l Dark red colour with sediment floating in it. Bubbly, quickly diminishing head. Aroma is malty, yeasty, a bit woody and with a high level of fruitiness, especially strawberry. Vineous, malty, medium to high sweetness. Ends sweet, but with a hoppy and lasting mild bitterness. Low carbonation, medium body. I don´t know, I think I don´t like it. Thanks go out to bierkoning for the bottle.
