Bottle (33cl): Clear, deep amber coloured, small, but stable yellowish layer, complex sweet dark-fruity, dark-malty, a bit toasted nose; robust sweet flavour, full bodied, soft MF; solid fruity, dark-malty finish with shy hops in the aftertaste, well hidden alcohol. A good, complex and pleasant Doppelbock..........

Bottle - 0,33l Appearance: Clear dark red brown color with a small, short lasting beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, caramel, coffee,dry fruits, brown sugar. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Palate: body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ Pivni Rozmanitost, Prague. Pours dark ruby amber with a small white head. Lots of dark fruit, caramel, whiff of tobacco , alcohol and bread. Smooth and full bodied.

In short: A typical, clean and very malty big brown lager. Decent

The look: Clear mahogany body with red highlights topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose is typical malty brown lager with toasted nutty notes. Taste is clean but on the heavy side. Toasted whole-wheat brown bread covered by caramel and toffee, notes of roasted almonds and tree bark. Alcohol is not really a factor. All in all a typical example of the style. A decent beer I’ve had better from this brewery. Overall I was very impressed by this relatively unknown german brewery available all over Romania, and thankfully I had my wife with me to order my beers for me because unlike me my wife can understand what a waitress says when she speaks Romanian or speaks a perfect English and has large breast.

Small beige head over deep red-ruby beer. Sweet, chestnut, marzipan, dark bread, autumn leaves. Sweet, faint point of saltiness, hints at oxidation, bready and leafy. Alcohol, with a huge restsugarcontent, reinforcing each other. Alcoholwarming, quite slick and a bit sticky. Typical Doppelbock, bit oxydized sample, but still perfectly OK. Thanks to Stef!

Dunkelmalziger und nur wenig süßlicher Geruch. Malziger Antrunk, der nicht die fast erwartete Süße bringt, sondern mehr Würze ins Spiel bringt. Ab dem Mittelteil spielt ein herb-fruchtiger Ton dazu. Auch im Abschluß kann das Bier das bisher hohe Niveau halten und klingt herbwürzig mit röstmalzigen Tönen aus. Sehr guter Doppelbock. Keine klebrige Süße, dafür kräftige Würze. Bottled at La 100 de Beri, Bucharest, Romania. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Roasty raisiny aroma. Quite sweet with near full body. The low hop rate allows the raisiny malt to dominate completely. Caramelly and warming with low bitterness. An OK doppelbock.

Dunkelmalziger, passend süßer Antrunk mit deutlichen Getreidenoten. Dabei ist die Getreidigkeit zu Beginn stärker und fällt im Mittelteil zurück, allerdings ist auch die Malzigkeit hier nicht mehr in vollem Umfang vorhanden. Gut sind die Aromen aufeinander abgestimmt, auch die nussigen Aromen im hinteren Teil zählen hierzu. Wenig herb, nur minimal röstig. Im Nachgeschmack bekommt die Röstigkeit einen kräftigen Schub, angenehm mild ist die Bitterkeit, die sich insgesamt wenig zeigt. Schokoladige Nuancen bleiben zuletzt. Gut! 9/11/12/12/14/12

Bottle, from trade with koelschtrinker. Bottle. A clear, chestnut colored beer topped by a small, beige head. Meaty, roasted nose with dried fruits, a little alcohol and a faint note of bacon-like smoke. Sweet and malty flavor, roasted and meaty, with a little coffee-like roastyness and some krokan, don’t know the english word, but it’s caramelized sugar mixed with almonds and butter, often used as a flavoring in ice cream. It’s a full-bodied beer with some warmth, finishing sweet and roasted. A nice doppelbock indeed. 100327
