33cl Bottle at Café Brecht. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of grass, nice herbal hops, malts. Flavour is grassy, metallic, light malty, dry bitter finish, herbal, with aluminium. Light bodied. OK, but the metal is a bit disturbing.

Bottle at Cafe Brecht. Clear pale gold pour with rich white head. Aroma is hoppy, dusty and grassy hop, quite dusty. Taste is hoppy, many metallic flavors, not necessarily off but just bad use of hops, very metallic, almost like licking the inside of an aluminum can (the beer came in a glass bottle). Ok.

Bottle @ Café Brecht, Amsterdam. Pale yellow, finely bubbled bright white head. Herby nose. Earthy flavour, herbal and mildly bitter. Very balanced and sessionable.

Klares goldenes Bier mit schöner weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig, grasig, leicht bitter. Geschmack grasig, hopfig, mild, nicht zu bitter.

Erzengel (3439) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2014
Sharp-bitter beginning. Hints of grain, slightly sweetish with an extreme bitter finish, that is not much aromatic. A bit sharp, mouldy, hints of metal. Strange aroma...

Süßlich-getreidig riechend. Antrunk süßlich-getreidig. Mitte malzige Züge, würzig. Am Ende malzig, moderat bitter. Ist ok.

0,5 l bottle. New label art design. Pours out clear and pale golden, big but not long living white head, high carbonated. Sweet Pilsener smell on the nose, not bitter. Starts with moderate hop bitterness, light citrus notes, low grainy. Metallic hints. Long mid bitter aftertaste. Not bad.

It’s golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, bread and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of flower, straw, citrus, malt and it’s fairly dry with a slightly bitter finish. Refreshing and nice.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2011 In short: A truly classic thirst german pilsner.
How: Bottle 500ml at La 100 de Beri, Bucharest Romania (many bottles)
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The pleasant hose is like a walk in a countryside field, fresh hay, dried wild flowers. Taste has plenty of crisp and slightly honeyed cereals, hay and straw, a slice of lemon zest. Mild bitterness that is part yellowed grass, part dried flower petals. Also a mild tartness that makes it even more refreshing. And just enough dryness to make you want to drink 10 gallons of it. This is simply one of the best bottled pils I’ve had in my life. I can’t believe the low ratings on this beer. This is a great beer that people are not able to appreciate. But I can. You know that feeling where you feel smarter than everyone else? I love that feeling. I really love to read session lagers ratings on ratebeer.
